Best Cream Donuts Ever!!! Holmeburg Bakery is the best bakery in Philly...Since I was a young girl my uncle took me to Holmesburg Bakery to get cream donuts and I've never been to any other bakery that makes cream donuts as good as they do...I try and get them as much as I can because theres nothing like their cream donuts...Going there brings back good childhood memories.
Great bakery They make the best George Washington cake. Its impossible to find in the Phila. area. Years ago many bakeries in the area made it but all the good german bakeries have closed since food stores have stocked more baked goods. You can't beat their donuts and butter cake. And their help are very pleasant. I live in Florida so everytime I am in town this is one of my stops.

Best cream donuts The inside of these donuts have enough cream to fill 3 donuts not just one. They are sliced horizontally and filled that way. I initially tasted them when a coworker brought them in one day and I have been hooked ever since.
Good cookies I have been visiting this bakery since I was a kid growing up in holmesburg. I still visit and always have to pick up some butter cookies since I think they make the best out there. Their doughnuts are very good and so are they cakes. Unlike most bakeries, they are open 6 days a week and have good hours.
bakery the bakery is one of a kind it is small but has almost everything. There butter cakes are great and taste real buttery alot people go in just to get them. I always buy my family their birth day cakes there the frosting is so good. The place is clean and family owned and the staff is very nice and they have very good hours. The prices are resonable too.
Rare gem ..... Holmesburg Bakery is so small...one may miss it driving by.
