The Hollywood sign has a long history, first erected in 1923 as a temporary billboard for a housing development called "Hollywoodland". Originally an 18-month advertisement, it became a permanent landmark after being refurbished in 1949 and officially shortened to "Hollywood".
I visited the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, and it was an unforgettable experience! The drive through Griffith Park was scenic, and the panoramic view of the city from the top was absolutely stunning. Seeing the iconic white letters up felt surreal — a true symbol of LA’s magic. I recommend going early in the morning or near sunset to avoid crowds and catch the best light for photos. A must-visit spot for anyone in Los Angeles!
