I just wanted to take a moment to publicly thank Hollywood Door for saving me hundreds of dollars. Yesterday, my garage door wouldn’t close. Long story short, based on a recommendation, I called another company to come out and assess the situation. This company diagnosed the problem as a fried circuit board, and informed me that their most inexpensive option was $700! This was the second time to use Hollywood Overhead Door to fix a problem. The worker replaced the capacitor and tightened some screws in the engine box. He didn’t charge me a dime (not even a service fee), because he said that we might have to replace the engine soon since it is really old. But he wanted to try this first to see if it would work. I really appreciated that he was willing to try an easy fix for free, rather then going ahead and replacing it for a huge expense.
If I could give them a zero, I would. I was supposed to have my new garage door (which they special ordered for me) this morning. I paid them half down, The technician arrived shortly after 8:00am but refused to do it because there were things in his way. Which I told him I would remove after the old door was down. They came the next day, exactly when they said they would, and fixed our broken garage door opener. Definitely recommend!
