I have literally tried to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt. I've had ants in my room twice . I still come back . I ask for a late check out only to come back and find my room totally picked apart by housekeeping and this is not the first time it has happened more than once on separate occasions. I try to be understanding but when the same slackness continues to happen something needs to be said. I will be patronizing another hotel from now on this Holiday Inn on W. The rooms were very clean! Though it took us longer than we'd like to admit on finding the main light switch. That was the only frustration, we spent the first evening there in the dark because of it. (It's not a traditional switch, or on the wall.. it's on the side of a cabinet). But the people at the front desk were also very nice, and helpful. It was a great stay overall!
Great location - it is only 10 minutes drive from tourist attractions in downtown Charleston but daily rate is only 1/3 of those. The hospitality is above and beyond. The GM walked through the dining area and greeted the guest is the reason I am writing this review.
