The woman at the front desk was delightful. Check in was easy. The room was clean. Just what we needed from a place we were sleeping for one night before flying out of Boston! Like most hotels, I just wish the shower water pressure was better!
We were visiting Boston and Salem so this was a nice out of the way hotel with only 25 minute drives to main areas of interest. Beds are super clean and comfy as was the room. All the employees are super nice and helpful. The elevator was a little scary haha but nothing too crazy. The only issue is the thin walls. You can hear everyone’s conversation. I was on a delayed flight and called the front desk twice updating my arrival time. When I arrived at 3:30am there was no one working the desk. Shouted, called the phone, emailed, even went behind the desk LOL and saw my name for check in. Nothing was working and spent forever on 4 different phone calls w 800 #s trying to figure out where to go at 4am. Over half an hour later, someone sauntered out of the back and gave me my key. Dated hotel skimpy on service. I always check mattress for bedbugs. No bugs, but found several areas of sizable cracker crumbles on the mattress! Staff politely changed my room immediately. Rooms are dark and dreary. Only 2 coffee packets in room for 2 occupants. I asked for 5 more for my 1 day stay and was given 3. No microwave in room. Thin towels and sheets. Poor lighting and few outlets and charging ports. Tub shower. No welcome gift for Bonvoy Gold member. Disappointed as Courtyards are usually better.
