I took my family of 5 for Sunday brunch today (July 26,2015). Four of us decided on the buffet and one person ordered off the menu. Those who wanted the buffet got started and 20 minutes later Jared's Dad still hadn't been served. The manager (at least I think he was the manager) came out and asked if everything was alright and I said, "No, we have been waiting for over 20 minutes and we don't have all our food". RecommendedI cannot say enough good things about Gary, Mary and the rest of the Crew at the Spfld. Hole in the wall BBQ. We used them to Cater and Bartend our wedding. We got nothing but compliments on the food and staff from everyone at our wedding (150 people). They were more than helpful and accommodating to say the least! The food was outstanding with even more options than we ever guessed. (The Bacon mac 'n cheese is primo). As always the food, service and drinks are spot on.
Pulled pork and bbq beans had absolutely no flavor. Service sucked also, very inattentive. Can definitely mark this one off the list for me.
Ribs were ok...needs sauce, glaze, something for flavor. Had Cole slaw and sweet bbq beans as sides....no flavor to them at all. Very disappointed.
Highly recommend this place!!! BBQ flavor seems to be "aged" into the meats, not just brushed on or cooked in the sauce at the time it is ordered. It isn't too strong, letting the taste of the meat to come through. We live in So Oregon and have had several BBQ locations that have come & go. They didn't even close to the taste we found here. The service was good. We can't wait to get back up there!!!
