I have loved working with Dr. Holderness! His guidance is faith-based and incredibly helpful. I am in a compeltely different place today than I was when I first started seeing him. He's not going to string you along and allow you to stay where you are. If you are ready to work towards being a better, stronger person and accept where you will need to put in the work, he will be an asset in getting you there.
I've seen a few therapists over the years, including Christian counselors. Dr. Holderness left me wanting more. When I presented my problem to him, I immediately felt judged and didn't feel any grace coming from him. Instead of building a plan to tackle the issue, It was more of a "why on earth are you doing that" reaction. Secondly, of the 5 sessions I had with him I would estimate 3 started late, with one not beginning until 45 minutes past my appointment time. My husband and I cannot express enough how much Dr. Holderness has helped us individually and as a couple. Neither of us had ever been to counseling before so we did not know what to expect. Dr. Holderness made us so comfortable and we were able to open up to him with ease. My husband and I are very grateful we got in to see him when we did. We highly recommend him!
