Dr Hogue is a wonderful Physician! He is personable, reassuring, and the ultimate professional. My first cataract was removed 2 weeks ago with a perfect outcome, the second is scheduled tomorrow! I would recommend anyone to his loving care; it's very clear to see he is devoted to people and their good eye health. My joy is seeing without trifocals for the first time in "forever ". Blessings
He did my wife's cataract surgery - her cost was $4000 for crystal lens. He answered her questions, but didn't volunteer any information. Immediately after the surgery her vision improved greatly. Unfortunately, the benefits only lasted a couple of months. Within 6 months her vision had reverted to what it was before surgery. It's now supposedly 20/20 but she can't see any better than before. He wants to do another procedure to let in more light, but she isn't going back to him for anything.

I sure hope you wouldn't mind calling my office sometime to give me a chance to see whats going on with your wife's particular situation. I will certainly do my best to explain things better. The problem sounds like it might be a simple fix. Generally speaking, Crystalens implants are notorious for causing the posterior capsule to become cloudy very quickly. You might look into that in the meantime.
I can?t say enough great things about Dr. Michael Hogue. He did cataract surgery on both of my eyes and I can?t remember ever seeing this well!!! I?ve had four back surgeries and just recently a hip replacement. I sure wish Dr. Hogue could have done those surgeries as the difference in doctors has been night and day. He?s always very nice, looks me straight in the eye, and answers all my questions, without making feel like he was trying to get done with me as fast as possible.
Dr. Hogue is a soft spoken, gentle, compassionate doctor. He puts you at ease the second he steps into the office. He is very intelligent and explains conditions in a manner even I can understand. I never feel rushed and he answers all my questions. He and his staff are friendly and you feel like you've really gotten the most out of your visit.
