I have shopped at Hogeye for years. I purchased a used D-28 that was a real banjo killer and a Gibson Earl Scruggs model banjo from Jim. Jim is a knowledgeable repairman and a good guy. I took lessons from a Hogeye instructor about the time I bought my banjo (about 25 years ago) and learned my initial chops. If you need folk instruments or lessons on the instruments they carry, Hogeye is the place to go!

I will never walk into this store again in my life. I trusted the guitar repair person with my martin guitar and he dropped some kind of tool on it and cracked the back of my guitar. Horrible horrible experience and i'm absolutely heartbroken that I let someone touch MY guitar. If you love your instrument, learn to work on it yourself, people are careless and just want to take your money. Dissatisfied tremendously. Heartbroken too. Its my guitar.
