Hog Island has great cheese steaks, the Mr Coop is our favorite. The turkey club is another favorite, the turkey tastes homemade. The French fries are regular potatoes, no batter, and taste really fresh. Delivery is always speedy, this is a great steak and sandwich shop!
Fringe benefit of the food photographer is I get to sample much of what I photograph. Rich and the staff are super and sincerely friendly and the food is excellent. Sampled the wings, turkey club, cheesesteak hoagie, and the spaghetti & meatballs. The only problem is that I have driven through Phoenixville many many times and never noticed this place which blends into the Acme shopping center on Starr Street. I'll be back.
We have been ordering from Hog Island for years and they are so great. Everything has always been solid. Tonight we called in an order and the wrong sandwich was delivered because it was rung in wrong accidentally by the person who took our order. We called back right away and explained what happened and they were so apologetic and delivered the correct sandwich quickly! Their pork and broccoli rabe sandwich is our favorite and tonight we were just so appreciative of the quickness they corrected the mistake. They’re the best... read more
Great food, great location, great staff. The place could use a renovation, though. It's kinda dated and run-down a bit. Seriously, though, they make the best cheesesteak ever!
