I just had Ron remove three trees from my yard in the Lake Forest subdivision. I got five estimates and Ron's prices were very resonable. He did a great job, and was very professional about everything. Great comminication between him and myself, and no surprise additional prices for anything. Ron Hofmann and his crew were fantastic to work with. Very responsive and dependable. Showed up when they said they would. Had 11 trees removed along with stump grinding. I would definitely use again.
Ron took out 3 Bradford pear trees and a smaller Maple from my yard that was over planted with trees. He had the best bid by far. Every stump was ground down and all the mess was cleaned up. Happy with his work.
On August 1, 2014 Ron took out a large red maple with a full trunk split from the fork to the ground. Ron did a great job as the tree was between my and the neighbor's homes and close to his smelly bradford pear. Neither house, adjacent trees, mailboxes nor EVEN THE YARD was damaged. We are close to the street, but still, dropping a tree usually trashes a yard, but Ron went beyond what I expected. I couldn't be there the morning of the removal (like he needed my direction). Contracted with Ron to take out 5 Bradford Pears and their stumps from my home's lot in Stonehaven subdivision. After he completed the job he mounded the chips made from the stump removal over the stumps. Everything appeared to be fine and we paid him in full for the job. Only later did I find out when leveling the area with a rake that he didn't grind down one of the stumps below the grass line, so it would be sticking up above the level of the lawn and I couldn't plant grass over where the stump still was.
