RecommendedHoffman Appraisal Services performed the appraisal on my property. The report was easy to understand and thorough. I had one question that was quickly answered by the manager of the company. He was polite and knowledgeable. I would use their services again.
The buyers mortgage company hired Hoffman appraisal to do the appraisal on our home. We had new vinyl energy star windows installed six months prior. On our appraisal report they indicated I had aluminum windows in average condition. There was no value given for the windows or the energy efficiency the windows provided. Our appraisal was way under our sell price. US News says new vinyl windows have a 74% return on investment. I got zero due to the incompetence of Hoffman Appraisal
Our home was appraised by Hoffman Appraisal. Six months ago we had high efficiency vinyl windows installed. The appraiser noted our windows as aluminum in average condition. Their was no adjustment in the comps for the energy efficient windows. Ultimately our home was valued for much under the offer we received and the buyer would not pay more than the appraised value.
