Everything was amazing here - quiet, peaceful, amazing views. The only thing I would say is do not buy firewood from them. Get it at the gas station. Inside the bundles were regular 2x4's & it would not catch and then stay going, it was terrible. I mentioned this to the gas station woman and she said "several" people have complained about it. Had a good time on the 7 mile trip. Took our dog with us and she loved it! Lots of places to pull of along the way when we got tired paddling to let the dog out and play. Unfortunately the canoe we had sprung a leak and we had to get out several times to dump out water. But when we made it back to the livery they apologized and gave us a voucher for a free trip next time. They made it right in our eyes and we are def planning to come back.
Was one of the best campgrounds i have been to in a while!would recommend it to everyone! Staff was great! Sites are way bigger than most! Has everything you need within 5 miles. The canoe trips the offer are fantastic and one of the best teams on the river! 5 stars from this happy camper!
My husband and I brought our daughter and her friends here for her 17th birthday...what a great experience! We can't wait to come again!
We had a great time this past Saturday (6/26/16). The weather was perfect, river conditions were good (a little high...we rarely even had to paddle). The staff is friendly and helpful. The reason for only four stars is because we were told to arrive at 9:30 for 10:00 departure and that the bus would leave promptly at 10:00. It was almost 11:00 by the time we were on our way. Regardless, we had a great time. Next time we just won't be in such a hurry to be on time ;-)
