I purchased side meat and the package blew up like a balloon. When I attempted to contact them, there was no one to talk to. I have never had this happen, very disappointed.
Ham is delish & not to salty... Purchased @ Food Lion in St Pauls, NC...Hope they continue to carry your product....We are enjoying Hobes Country Ham. Paula Hagens
Cooked a country ham we just picked up at foodlion this morning and when we cooked it, my whole house filled up with the most horrible cow manure smell. Ive cooked alot of country hams, but never one that was this putrid. We took a small bite of it and it didn't tast right so we disposed of the entire ham. Checked the expiration date and it was in date with expiration date of 7/ 2026.
27 hour soak and still way too salty. Throwing alot of meat away that is not able to eat. Hard meat. We cook 3 to 4 counrty hams a year so it is not that we don't know how to cook them. For 20 years we've cooked clifty farm country hams but this year we could not find so tried hobes. It will be our last
Your Country ham is always delicious and one 6oz package covers the bottom of my large frying pan. Thank you for keeping this great ham affordable.
