Incredible deli in the least likely place. Can't remember a better pastrami or corned beef sandwich in my life. I was in Newark on business and ate there 2 days in a row. The owners (I think were named Michael and Mark) were great hosts and were extremely friendly. Next time I'm near Newark, you can bet a stop at Hobby's is on my agenda. Fugetaboutit, the places in NYC have nothing on this place.
There are delis, and there is hobby's. An institution. Saw the documentary "deli man" and had to rush to hobby's for savory pastrami on rye and endless pickles

I've been hunting for a good pastrami sandwich for years,finally found it, blows Katz out of the water
Classic Jewish deli. Excellent corned beef, pastrami and other favorites. Worth the shlep to Newark.
