Located just south of downtown, the neighborhood is anchored on the north by the Milwaukee Public Market and by the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design to the south. Along the lakefront is Henry Maier Festival Park which hosts festivals every summer weekend.

Great bars and restaurants.Easily accessed by the HOP!
Definitely felt safe walking through this area. Looking at all the architecture and people watching . Stopped at Uncle Buck's for drinks, bartender was very helpful (and made a good margarita!). Walking along the river was beautiful!
Interesting shops, great food & bars. A unique urban vibe for sure!
Historic feel with a unique atmosphere, the Public Market has a few nice shops. Third Ward has a different unique feel from the rest of the city. 5 stars!
Orange Sculpture and Park? Special High and Gracious Buildings and Lights with flowers.
a lot of eclectic shops. but the real attraction is the public market! lots of seafood to buy or eat there. there are other eateries and shopping inside the market. like a mini Pike Place market!
Such a great place to walk around, shop unique items & enjoy good eats. Fun events.
