WORST HAIR STRAIGHTENING EVER! – I've been going to Hisako for Japanese hair straightening for almost 8 years now. The girl who usually does my hair (unfortunately, I don't know her name) is absolutely wonderful. My hair is soft, sleek, full of life after every hair straightening appointment. Going there was a HUGE mistake! – DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON FOR THE JAPANESE STRAIGHTENING (Thermal Reconditioning) TREATMENT. I've been getting Japanese Straightening for 9 years at a different salon. I walked by and saw their promotion - same treatment for $90 less. Looked them up online, they use Liscio - same as my regular salon. Damien works miracles – I have never looked better since I stumbled upon Hisako Salon and met Damien. He works magic with color and style! My mousy brown bob with bangs was transformed into a lovely, honey gold "do" with soft, voluminous layers. I have been seeing Damien since October and I will never look for another stylist. Any NYC woman is lucky to have him!
Great Manicurist – I got my nails done by the manicurist, Akemi at Hisako Salon, which is really beautiful and elaborate!! You can request your original design that nobody wears. Just explain the design you want to wear or choose a design from her portfolio. Also, the quality of her Calgel is really nice! It lasts more than 4 weeks without damaging your own nails. I really recommend her cutting-edge Calgel!
Damien does fabulous work! – If you go to Hisako Salon ask for Damien. The man knows how to work the hair!! Truly gifted and certaintly knows what he is doing...He does a fantastic job with my hair and everytime I sit in that chair I leave feeling like a DIVA!! I have recommended people to him and guess what? They stay with him as their stylist..HE IS THAT GOOD!!!! You won't go wrong people..I HIGHLY recommend!!!! See for yourself!

Hisako - highly recommend – Hisako seemed like they did hair cuts at a good price - and when Hitomi had finished with my barnet - i couldnt believe what a fantastic job she did at such a good price. It's the first time i've walked out of the hairdressers without wanting to put a hat on to cover my hair up! It was truly service with a smile and Hitomi made me feel comfortable and talked me through the styles i could get. Exceptional Service – For years I struggled with finding a stylist that could cut my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted it. My hair is med-thin and visibly grows fuller and longer on one side of my head. This needs to be taken into consideration when getting a cut. Favorite Stylist – My stylist, Damien, is absolutely amazing. I have big, curly hair, and he knows exactly what to do with it! Whatever I ask him to do, cut, color, straighten, he's able to do with ease. I'd recommend him to any and everyone. In addition, the salon itself, is bright and quaint. The service is lovely and I always feel at home when I'm there.
