Every plant I have ordered has arrived in great condition. Support online is exceptional. They work well with the craziest of customers, that being me.
This greehouse operation certainly churns out a mass quantity of some good and some really not so lively products. I am a degreed horticulturist, and the health of some of the plant material they shipped to me in three separate instances is not acceptable. When I approached 'Greenhousematt' about the issue, since he thought I was a small guy he swatted at me and swept me away like a fungus gnat. Terrible company, do not buy plants from this company. Poor quality plants, less than 1/4th the size the advertised. Then claimed the plants were "Dormant" and that that is why they are chopped off at the top and look dead. Its springtime MARCH! And did Hirt's go pull them out of some yard? They are supposed to come from a greenhouse! They refuse to refund! I will not buy from this greenhouse again.
Do not buy from this company unless you want to be ripped off! I bought a plant from them online from walmart. It looked nothing like the picture and was to be in a 4 inch pot and it was barely 3 and they said they was what was considered a plant 4 inch plastic pot. The plant is so tiny I would never buy this junk in a store. A expensive lesson to never buy a plant online again. This company is the worse
This company is a lie. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! I bought a RED FREDDY GENOVESE BASIL from them but they send a PURPLE BASIL instead. The picture on their website is red and even the tag that came with the plant is red. I was obviously upset and send them an email and the guy kept insisting that the picture on the tag is purple. The picture and the plant look different and they insist on me paying for the return shipping if I want to return it which I believe is not justified since they were the one who send the wrong basil to... read more
I will never buy any thing from this company again. I didn't get what I ordered and when I contacted them about it I was expected to pay to ship the items back .
I ordered six plants from Hirts around Christmas. The prices were great and everything arrived in just a few days. I was so pleased that I ordered four more plants in January. They also arrived in good shape and in only four days. I couldn't be more pleased.
I had order from this website a few days ago and sadly to say I was extremely disappointed! First time order from them.I spend like $90 on five plants. When it arrived at my door,the box that they send me was all soggy wet!plants were all upside down , and dirts were on everything and everywhere .I was pissed!Will definitely not going to buy anything else from this website in the future. Just horrible!
I recently ordered two plants from hirts garden. A peperomia prostrata (string of turtles) and a ceropegia linearis woodii (string of DAGGERS). The string of daggers is a close cousin of the string of hearts plant which I'm familiar with as I have 3 large plants of the HEARTS variety and one DAGGER variety that I have been growing for a while now (not from Alan Hirts but from actual honest sellers).
