The rooms and paint colors need updating but the bed was comfortable and service was outstanding. We heard the property was going to be renovated soon. The location and mountain views from the property can’t be beat. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay.
TRAVELED TO TUSCON FOR MY SONS SWIM CHAMPIONSHIP, ARRIVED AND NEEDED TO GET MY SON SETTLED BECAUSE THE NEXT DAY HE HAD TO BE UP SUPER EARLY FOR A BIG DAY. ARRIVED TO MY ROOM AND SUITE WAS INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!!!! I TOLD THE FRONT DESK RIGHT AFTER I SEEN ROACHES IN MY ROOM ON THE FIRST DAY AND TOLD THEM IT WAS AN INCONVENIENCE AS MY SON NEEDED TO REST AND THAT WE WOULD RATHER GO STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. My family had such a great stay at El Conquistador Hotel. The property is beautiful, the amenities are top notch, and everything felt welcoming and well taken care of. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to Robert, who was especially kind and went above and beyond to make our stay even better. I’d definitely come back when coming to Tucson and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
The views and the pool area are this hotel’s only pros. Management clearly has let so much of the property go downhill. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Not pictured: the hot mess that is the parking area. If you’re in building two, you’re basically gonna lug your belongings across a huge distance. Or if you’re lucky, you’ll get a room close to building 3 and you can get by with parking in the back lot. Overall rating: why bother/10
Beautiful hotel! The room was very clean. The staff were nice and awesome. Parking is not that great if you are in building 1 or 2 - it is a bit of a walk. They should have those with cars in building 3 or 4. There is parking right at those buildings. There is a little bit of a walk from your building to the lobby - which was a different experience.
