Overrated Hotel This hotel was nothing special. I took off one star because they didn't have a real gift shop. They had a "temporary" gift shop which was hidden under the escalators on the bottom floor. The Gym here also sucked because they charged $15 for one day of gym usage. This made me take off another star. I took off a third star because the whole hotel was non-smoking so I couldnt smoke a hookah anywhere inside or outside of the hotel property. The only good thing about this hotel is that its within walking distance ... read more

Perfect stay! Great stay. Beautiful property. A big thank you to Kelly and Ayesha for helping me in getting the room I requested. Both of our rooms were clean and spacious. The check-in in the process was fast and easy.

Stayed here for my wife's business conference and we loved the grounds and location. Right on the water, you can walk to Gaslamp or along the bay to many restaurants, museums and yachts. Also mortar convention center and ferry to Coronado Island. Great pool, outdoor lounge, and fitness center too.

We had a great time at Hilton San Diego Bay Front until the last day of our stay when my 10yr old son at 6am in the morning rolled out of bed and struck his left eyelid against the sharp edge of a nightstand which caused an open wound. I assumed that Hilton would pay the medical costs of $800. I talked to Marco, the security supervisor, who told me Hilton wo... read more

This hotel has a lot of problems – This hotel was obviously built for maximum # of rooms and does not have the infrastructure to handle the numbers of guests packed in. I had no hot water several mornings. The iron stained purple stuff on my pants and I spent hours getting the run-around and leaving messages for staff members who never called me back. (This still is not resolved.) It took me days to get a room service menu. The pool is about 1/4 the size needed for the number of guests, and service at the pool took so long t... read more

Editorial Review – The bayfront Hilton's airy cocktail bar does dim sum, organic cocktails and after-work happy hours with an unobstructed view of the harbor.
