The hotel is beautiful. There is a restaurant and at but we didn't have a chance to use them. HOWEVER... I have a service animal. This hotel is extremely pet UNFRIENDLY. I was questioned multiple times about her, what her task is, which is fine and I told them. But my dog barked once. Likely because she was being stalked by one of the workers. I had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Stony Brook. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was spotless and comfortable, which made my stay even better. I also ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The French toast was especially amazing! Overall, a really pleasant experience—I would definitely stay here again.

A great experience from the moment you step in the door. I was not in the best mood when I arrived after a long day of travel and flight delays. But when I finally walked in (well behind schedule), I was greeted by Lauryn at the front desk with such warmth and kindness that it immediately turned my day around. She was incredibly friendly, funny, and welcoming, and she made check-in quick and easy. Convenient for SBU admitted student visit. A bit isolated if you're without car. Rooms comfortable and quiet and loved the digital key checkin. Breakfast convenient and better quality than free places. Room had slow drains and beds were quite uncomfortable, both of us had back pain next day, probably mattresses need update. Surprised bc of Hilton brand. Unrestful stay. So convenient for campus touring.
