I recently visited The Catlin Hotel and wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience. Although I did not stay overnight, I was very impressed with the modern atmosphere of the property and found your staff to be exceptionally friendly. I also wanted to mention that I think the hotel’s name is excellent and fits the area well. And watch out for the Catlinite!

We originally booked our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Sioux Falls through the Hilton app, so when we arrived, we were pretty confused to see the building labeled as “Catlin Hotel” with no clear Hilton branding. It definitely made us question whether we were in the right place, and we had to double-check with the front desk. If it’s still part of Hilton, clearer signage like “Catlin Hotel by Hilton” would go a long way in avoiding that confusion. This place feels like it’s trying to be a boutique hotel, but nobody stopped to ask whether any of it actually works in real life. The room looks nice at first glance, but the longer you’re in it, the more confusing it gets. The lighting setup is a whole situation — random switches, hidden controls, and a glowing orb by the bed that genuinely feels like it has its own agenda. I’m not convinced it wasn’t observing me.
