I have stayed here several times over the past 10 years and the hotel has always been nice and clean. This time I was disappointed. This hotel needs a remodel. The carpet was filthy and I did not want to walk on it barefoot. The drain did not drain fast and the fitted bed sheet did not fit on the bed. The sheet came undone both nights. If they would fix those issues this hotel would be great. The lobby is nice and clean and the hotel staff were very great.
I had a wonderful experience staying here. As a 65-year-old woman traveling alone to attend a three-day horse competition in Elk Grove, I truly appreciated how safe and comfortable everything felt. The parking lot was well-lit with plenty of spots just steps from the entrance, which made coming and going easy and secure. Stayed here many times over the years. I usually hit BJ's next door for dinner when I'm in town. Cameron is awesome at the front desk. Highly recommend Hilton Garden Inn Elk Grove.
