I stayed at this hotel for 1 night last week ( I booked it for 4 nights) I was traveling alone for work. I checkout the very next morning feeling uncomfortable with the poor customer service from the staff, scary location, dirty rooms, and just a weird feeling of being the only person on the 8th floor. Tl;dr everyone working here did a great job but the hotel itself needs some help. Booked the night before- well, I intended to. I’m pretty sure I put in the right dates, but it got flipped back to that night. Likely user error, but I didn’t notice until I had already booked the room. Frustrating, but shouldn’t be too much of an issue, right? Well, no, because this hotel doesn’t have a working phone. At least, the posted phone number doesn’t work. Once grand hotel which has clearly declined with the area. Room was large and clean but tired and clearly furnished to a strict budget. Half the room was just an empty space. Might suit golfers who like to practice putting. Staff were polite and resolved an issue with room safe efficiently, but all had the resigned air of folk expecting complaints. We parked on street which is free all weekend, but overheard staff telling guests the only parking option was the $28 valet, tut tut. Area very shady, but obviously some money has... read more
