This was my first time in Alaska and we were staying at the Hilton Anchorage for one night after a long day on the train from Denali. We were leaving early the next morning for Seward where our cruise leaves from. While I can't speak on the experiences of other guests, I can confidently say that my own experience was nothing short of exceptional. Melissa, the supervisor, was friendly, professional, and incredibly welcoming from the moment I arrived. She consistently went above and beyond to assist guests, taking the time to engage with people personally and showing genuine care and attentiveness, especially toward elderly guests. It should be against the law to charge these prices for such a disaster of a hotel. Sinks backing up, a/c never working, ice machines stink of mildew, bad food, and staff could not give less of a crap. One of the gals in the souvenir shop (which has barely anything you actually need) was just scrolling on her phone and was annoyed I asked her if they had postage stamps. Thank god I’m not paying for this crap. Never again.
I experienced the best customer service by the hotel staff and the supervisor Melissa G went above and beyond. The room was very clean. Melissa recommended so many things to try and I am now planning my next trip to Anchorage.
