Wow. This place is spectacular!!!! From the owners, to the cabins, to the beauty that surrounds it...AWESOME!!!! We ended up extending our stay in South Dakota because of Hillside Cabins....it was that great. Super clean, VERY fair price, genuinely nice people. The cabin itself was gorgeous. The upstairs loft and deck were our favorite parts. The grounds were so well taken care of, not a speck of garbage anywhere to be seen. Great Location For All Attractions.Easy To Find.Owner Was Friendly And Helpful.Had A Great Time.Looking Forward For A Return Trip.Went To Mount Rushmore,Crazyhorse,Devil'sTower,Nedels Highway,And Custer State Park.
Best Cabins Ever!!! Our experience was fabulous!!! We rented 2 cabins. The beds were super comfy! Both were immaculately clean. The location was really convenient to Keystone, Rapid City, Custer Park and Hill City. The owners were so sweet and helpful! They gave us lots of great suggestions for food and activities and took the time to draw each location on a local map. I want to go back to Mount Rushmore just to stay in Hillside Country Cabins again.
We spent a week at Hillside. New owners have have done a fantastic job turning the property into a clean, hassle free vacation location. A family operation that makes you feel like family. They go the extra mile.
We just returned from a 6 day stay at Hillside Country Cabins. We stayed in (9) a one bedroom with loft which was perfect for my husband and me. Cabin was tidy and welcoming. The owner was very helpful and always had a smiling face. You do need to pretty much bring everything that you will need other than toilet paper, pots, silverware, coffeemaker, dinnerware and cups. Our family stayed here for three nights to explore the Black Hills area. The location was perfect for us to easily get to all the places we wanted to go. Our cabin was very clean and quaint. Our daughters absolutely loved staying there and enjoyed the playground and hiking the trail behind the cabins The owners were very nice and accommodating during our stay! We would definitely stay there again!
We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and tidy. It is really in the middle of all the main attractions (Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bear Country, Reptile Gardens, Storybook Island) The owner is really friendly.
My husband and I need somewhere to relax....to get away from staying in a motel. The owner was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. It was so nice to get away and grill a few meals, why we were in the area. We plan to return each time we are that way.
I couldn't have had a better experience with my family. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the best part was that it was clean. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for an inviting warm place to stay.
