I value his compassion and guidance to help us through the sometimes difficult decisions we face while caring for our furry family members. The entire staff provide excellent care from routine check-ups to emergency care and compassionate end-of-life care. They support you every step of the way. That kind of relationship is hard to find, and I'm thankful for everyone at Hillsboro Animal Hospital.
We've been taking our guinea pigs, Cece and Ginger, to Hillsboro Animal Hospital and Dr. Given since getting them well over 2 years ago from a rescue. On the first visit Dr. Given talked to the pigs, apologized for getting in their business, gave an assessment on their health, a skin parasite medication, and told me what to look out for, in particular, with Ginger's teeth. We are new to Nashville and we were extremely happy with the care given to our Lab Chase. The communication was exceptional throughout the day. Dr. Ladd came out and explained in detail what was going on and gave us direction on what to do moving forward.

We have been taking our precious pets to Hillsboro Animal Hospital since 1979 and will continue to do so. They are absolutely the best and Dr. Steve Ladd, Sr is a jewel. He will always be our vet as long as possible.

This review is long over due. I took my rabbit Prim to see Dr. Given after an unsuccessful diagnosis at a local vet. He cleared everything he would do for her before he began. He was able to provide a swift diagnosis and walked me through all my options. Sadly, she had an inoperable tumor and I had to put her down. I truly cannot put words to justify the awesome care our lab, Daisy, received from every staff member we saw at this clinic. Each member of the team was caring and helpful. Dr Ladd diagnosed and steered us to get help for a liver mass. We enjoyed 3 more active, happy, healthy years with our big puppy! I received a precious letter today that Hillsboro Animal Hospital made a donation to UTCVM in Daisy’s memory! That is special. Love these vets and the terrific care they gave to Daisy and us. ❤️
For years our pets have received amazing care from Dr. Steve Hendrix and the other professionals at Hillsboro Animal Hospital.
