In 2008, my husband and I had our first son. He was born premature at 26 weeks. After spending 3 months in the NICU, he was discharged, as healthy as can be expected. He had a lot going on still. We were instructed to see a Pediatrician within 1 week of his disharge, and were recommended to a Doctor in Florida Hospital. Our first visit was not only dissappointing but terrifying, as the Dr was not in and the Dr who did see us, had not bothered to look at our sons records prior to entering the room.
