I am a local and we usually start each day with coffee and great food at the "locals" table! Everyone come on in and join us!
Have not been there for awhile. Excellent café, always eat there when we are in the Hills. Hope to see you this spring. They treat you like home folk.

Excellent food, excellent service, reasonable prices and 10% discount for military and veterans.
We love Hill City Cafe!!! Ranae is a hoot and fun server! The cook prepared my eggs PERFECT!! Sourdough toast and campfire coffee is AWESOME! If you are in Hill City this is a must to eat an early breakfast. Open at 6:00 am. Fun to hear all the locals chit chat too.
Chicken fried steak was awesome!!! Don't miss this place!!
