Knowing JoAnn has been a nurse for more than 30 years says a lot. Being a nurse myself and having been in the senior home care business I know excellent care and Hiljay Homes cannot be beat. I’ve seen close to 20 AFH’s in the Seattle area and I wouldn’t put my loved ones anywhere else. Her clients are well looked after and loved by the staff. This is the place!
My mom is a resident at Hiljay Home. She has advanced Alzheimer’s and is a total bed care patient. Before coming to Hiljay she was anxious, malnourished and dehydrated. Once admitted she was nourished and hydrated and I could see glimpses of what she once was. She no longer appeared anxious. This Adult Family Home is long established, 30+ years, and has served many families and their loved ones with the highest level of professionalism and care. The home provides homemade meals with only fresh ingredients, activities and music engagement in addition to unmatched commitment to providing quality care with compassion. If you are looking for a home that will take care of your loved one, Hiljay Homes is the best choice.
I am a healthcare worker in a different facility who frequently interacts with and collaborates with Hiljay. I've never encountered another adult family home that is so thorough, knowledgeable and advocates for their patients at the level that they do. It's the only place I'd want a loved one or myself to be. Jo Ann is a miracle worker. She's actually a nurse (unlike 99% of adult family home employees or owners), which in my opinion should be an absolute requirement.
