Over the last four months dr Malcarney has repaired both my left and right rotator cuffs, due to massive tears. Her expertise is second to none and I strongly belief she is the best orthopedic surgeon in the northern Nevada area. I trust her explicitly, her bedside manner is awesome, her staff most helpful and polite and her surgical team the top. I would recommend Dr Malcarney to anyone who wants professional care and the best results possible.
An exceptional practitioner. Highly skilled, no nonsense surgeon who is considered a "rock star" by my physical therapist. She repaired my rotator cuff which was termed "not repairable" by another orthopedist. Prior to working with Dr. Malcarney, I could not lift a hammer to shoulder level. I am now, six months post surgery, have full range of motion and am currently at a point where I am making consistent progress in strengthening my shoulders and arms. She has my highest recommendation.
What can a patient say when he/she is lied to by the staff? What can a patient say when the doctor, who orders a shoulder MRI, and doesn't even take the time to show you the MRI which clearly shows a mass of scar tissue? What can you say when the patient is the one who has to ask all the questions and the doctor doesn't care to answer? What can you say when the patient is told "surgery" and surgery wasn't required? I went to a sports orthopedist who fixed my injury without cutting.

I had shoulder surgery performed by the best period. Dr Malcarney may be the BEST shoulder surgeon in the country.
Dr Malcarney performed an arthroscopic repair on my right rotor-cuff on 10/7/16. Her high level of confidence(both reassuring and contagious) is evenly matched by her surgical skills. I did a lot of shopping around for many years to find the "best" doctor possible for this procedure. I'm convinced I found the best....can't thank her enough...can only pay her what I owe. ;-)
Great doctor! Had to wait 4 month to see her, but we'll worth it. Took care of my frozen shoulder and rotator cuff tear. Had virtually no pain from the surgery and got my range of motion back quickly.
