Spoke with Tom for a estimate on my vue trans. He quoted me 1,500. Ended up paying 2,900 cash. Drove for a week no reverse. Paid 150 more drove it another week no reverse again. Got it back and drove it and it wouldn't go over 5mph. It's been in the shop now for over 3 1/2 months now. Asked for my money back Tom insists on fixing it. If you can't fix it just give my money back. Tired of being patient. Money or small claims is my only answer now. No one should be without their car for 3 1/2 months. Doesn't make any sense.
Don't believe your initial quote – I called around to a few transmission repair places in regards to by 2002 Hyundai Accent. I spoke to Tom at Highway Transmission who was very nice and quited me a price of $750. He said if I needed other parts that the price could go up. He explains all the parts (like I am an auto mechanic) and then shows you pictures. On his clipboard he has a picture of Jesus on the cross. I wonder does he really believe what he has a picture of.
