He listened to me and treated me with trust and compassion. I came to see during a terrible nervous breakdown. He had me feeling better pretty fast but it honestly took years to recover. During that time I was able to find a job and work. Anyway, he treated me so well. I’ve not had one doctor like him. I was spoiled. Anxiety medication is to be given with care and Dr Highly made me feel he trusted me and that I mattered. Lots of well wishes on his retirement. Miss you. A. V.
Was referred, by my psychiatrist to Dr. Highly for ECT treatment. Having never met the man, i was admitted to Novant Presbyterian hospital 7th floor. I never met him, until 2 days later, when I was wheeled down for my first treatment. He never explained anything to me or my family, and he has the personality and communication skills of a stump. I was told by my psychiatrist that I would probably be in the hospital for 1 night while they run test. He kept me there 5 nights for no reason.
