Best place in Denver for Oysters, a comfy seat at the bar, or shake your ass! The night life is almost as good as the food!

Good drinks, marginal food, poor service – The selection of drinks and Happy Hour prices were good, but we waited an unreasonable amount of time for our appetizers and then even longer for our meal, which was a small portion and only average. I would definitely go back for Happy Hour drinks, and might give dinner another try, but only when I have plenty of time. The wait-staff was friendly, but very busy and hard to flag down.

Best Seafood in Denver Being near the mountains - it's hard to find good seafood in Denver. Highland Pacific has figured it out. It far exceeds the likes of McCormicks and Jax. The chalkboard near the bar shows what oysters are available each day as well as other fresh fish and specials. The blue crab claws are to die for. The interior of the restaurant is very industrial and has a cool feel to it. It's a great place to come in and feel as if you are on the coast. Even if there is no waterfront view, the food will taste like... read more

Great Oysters – My husband and I live in the Higlands and go to this restaurant almost weekly. They have great food and great service. Their happy hour is awesome. You can't beat 75 cent oysters.

Pass – Our reservations were made a month in advance but they seated us 1 hour late. The food portions were less than tappa sized but full priced. The waitress was friendly but slow and disappeared for periods at a time. Not a good value.

Great Experience – I've now dined at Highland Pacific Grill 4 or 5 times and thought I would jump on citysearch to let everyone know that this is one of the best dining experiences in town. The food is absolutely awesome. The best oysters in town, by far. The two owners are always there to greet you with a smile and the staff is very friendly and always there to help. I had the shrimp and gritz last night and it was, indeed, exceptional. I've never had a dish that just explodes in your mouth like the many items on the menu a... read more

It's About Time!! Highland's Best Kept Secret! New Favorite Spot! – We have lived in Denver since 1995. and years ago, the places to go out were, and still, the Gaylord District, Pearl St in WashPark or Downtown. We all have our favorite places, but, recently in the last three years, the resurgence of Highlands has made a solid case in one of the hottest neighborhoods. We now go to Highland Pacific frequently, and they are much more busy now than their first year. Everytime we go there we are greeted with warmth from the eve... read more

Great Food and Service – I am from South Louisiana and a Nutritionist so I feel I know good food when I eat it. My family and I travel a good bit on business and pleasure. On one of our trips to Denver we were introduced to Highland Pacific Restaurant and now I will not miss going there on my trips to Denver. The food is fantastic, well prepared and yes, will rival some of the restaurants in South Louisiana. I love the Crab Cake at Highland Pacifc because they are filled with meat and not breadcrumbs. The Shrimp Poboy's riva... read more

Beware of harried servers and irate chef/owners – I was at H.P. on a recent Friday night having dinner with friends when some sort of fracas erupted amongst a server, the Chef/Owner, and several patrons who apparently had been unhappy with some aspect of their meal. Until that point, our experience had been fairly satisfactory. A few minor errors (we were seated a little late, drinks were slow to arrive and we never got wine lists) were pretty forgivable on a busy Friday night. However, it seemed like whatever happened betwe... read more
