Shepard lake was close last week so i found this place This place is great for family
My wife and I came today for our first time! What an amazing treasure! I got in the water a few times and she enjoyed basking in the sun. We can't wait to come back and explore the trails! Thank You to the friendly staff!!
The setting is lovely and the huge pool, which was cut into the rock and is not made of cement, is full of natural , unchlorinated stream water.. The water is cold and contains tadpoles and a few other delightful creatures.. If this pool were closer to Manhattan, it would be swarmed with visitors. as it is, it's a delightful, refreshing escape into nature.. Plus, you can hike in the surroundings..
The place is nice and a great experience, but the little "play area" should be cleaned up every so often. Otherwise a nice place to experience nature and take a swim.
