The food is incredible delicious, prepared like a loving family would cook for loved ones. It's not a fancy place, but I dare you to find more delicious Texas food ANYWHERE in the state.

My husband and I went out for our first time in forever. I ordered the sirloin off the menu and it was perfect. It was cooked the way I wanted and seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend them!
Amazing buffet. The selections will exceed your expectations. You cannot go wrong. If you travel to Burnet by train, using The Hill Country Flyer, The Highlander offers a free shuttle service from and to the train station.
My husband gets to eat here with the guys when he is working, alot!! I hadn't gotten to try it until yesterday....it was fantastic!! Everything we had was delicious!! And I think I ate everything on the buffet!! Best bread pudding EVER!! And we even shopped for new fishing shirts!! #yummy #thehighlander #andfishingshirts
Met up with family to eat in Burnet. Everyone’s first time to eat there. Everyone chose the buffet. It was all pretty good. Between the 10 of us I believe everything was tried - brisket was very tender and good!! We didn’t particularly like the ice cream - it was a little “icy”. Very attentive waitress!!
Good food and good service....we enjoyed our lunch.
