RecommendedI am new to the area and needed to find a new vet after 20 years with the same vet in Spokane, WA....I googled and found Highland. I could set up everything online and they are open on Saturdays which is incredibly helpful. First visit was great. The vet is super nice and friendly. It was time for our dogs yearly, but I brought him in specifically because I knew some was wrong with him. After the exam and blood work and xrays $450 later we got nothing. I asked her if she checked his thyroid. I was told yes. I ended up taking him back for a urine test, again was charged way too much. A month goes by and I still know something is wrong with our dog. We’ve been taking our dogs to Highland Vet for many years now and have never had a bad experience. Our fury family are always well cared for and you can always tell the staff wants the best for your pets. We have 5 dogs so we’ve experienced everything from routine check ups to having to say goodbye, and highland has been a phenomenal support through it all.
We went today to give my dog a bordetella vaccination which they gave as a shot. We were then told five minutes later that it should have been given orally and they played it off as no big deal and didn't offer any type of compensation. Doing my research, this can be very harmful to him. VERY disappointed.
