I am inexperienced in van life. We live in Seattle, WA. I want a van to drive my 5-year-old (at this time) to school and activities, to use it as my office, and to take a weekend escape in the PNW and beyond. Shout out to Highland Vans. My Mercedes Metris Weekender was built in Seattle, WA by Peace Vans. On a trip to New Mexico this past Spring I inadvertently backed into a low hanging tree branch and bent the pop-top hinges out of alignment. By the end of our adventure, the pop-top was not closing properly. On the same trip, the auxiliary battery also began to decline and needed replacement.
