Spent one night here during a 5 hour black out (due to weather). We were not able to shower/use wifi/use warm water our whole stay and were not able to use anything during the blackout. The next day the water heaters still werent working and the wifi would not come back up. Asked for a partial refund due to us PAYING for a full stay with all the amenities and not RECEIVING all the amenities. Owner was not in when we asked and they took our number to give us a call. Great location, good value, and a nice (though kind of quirky owner/operator). At its roots, this is an old motel, and it's noticeable. They have fixed up the rooms with modern decor, and are totally up to par for casual travelers. Value and great South Lake Tahoe location equate to a good overall experience.
Super comfortable bed. Slept incredibly well. At home I sleep on a temperpedic and this bed felt just as comfortable or even more comfortable. Nice front desk clerk. Nice new showers. Close to all the new shops and casinos. Walked to the lake within five to ten min. Enjoyed wading in the water and sitting on the beach lake shore. Would stay here again.
