It was great before and it’s even better now, beautiful atmosphere and beyond excellent food 6 out 5 stars !!!
The new place is amazing! Congrats on the move. My lasagna was so delicious and a HUGE portion size too! The breadsticks are still the best around.
Normally we love the food, but this time was very average at best. Pizza and pasta. Pizza wasn't fresh, pasta lacked any flavor. Best part was the bread sticks which still weren't as good as usual. We did carry out, but past carry our orders have been significantly better. For almost $50, I deff was hoping for better �
My husband and I have been going to Highland House almost every week for many years. Very disappointed with the new place. Went there when it first opened and service was horrible. Figured since it was so new there would of course be some kinks to work on. Went again a few weeks later and service was worse than before. Food is still excellent but really enjoyed the coziness of the old place. I felt as if we were forgotten about quite often. Had to flag our waitress down several times but still over looked us.
Service is not what it used to be. Long wait to get a table, even longer to get someone to our table for drinks, poorly made drinks from the bar, messed up orders, forgotten drinks and food. Very disappointed. My wife and I loved the old place, went at least once a week, loved the coziness. New place is like eating in a cafeteria. Don't know if we will be back.�
Food is amazing. However staff wants a tip but won’t help you carry a large order to your vehicle. They ask if YOU want to make more than one trip. There was no one else waiting in line to pay or order. This has happened more than once. Very disappointed in their lack of customer service.
I remember growing up, highland house was THE local fine dining. I will be honest though, as the food culture developed and highland house aged, I completely lost interest in the restaurant. However, today, visiting the new establishment I am very happy to say this iconic highland eatery is back! You will never find a better restaurant any where in the world that has a menu that will satisfy anyone's taste for food and the ambiance is suburb and the staff is super efficient and friendly. To top off a visit, hope that the owner, Elia, stops by your table to say "hello". He is the best owner, friend, person you will ever meet.
Beautiful renovation and food was great! Especially loved the white fish and rice pudding! Plus a great playlist!
