I chose Highland "FAMILY" Eye Care based on their reviews and the great family/kid friendly aesthetic. When I called for an appointment for my three year old they were hesitant, but agreed to see my daughter who had a referral due to an assessment from preschool. There was not a single children's book or children's toy (despite their misleading choices in carpet squares, fun seating, and Toys for Tots collection bin). It sounds like my staff discussed the idea of visiting a pediatric specialist for your daughter at the time you scheduled the appointment. Got me in quickly, thorough and informative exam. Didn't do a high-pressure sales number on me about buying glasses from them. Everyone was warm and friendly.
