Hush puppies and fish sandwich ARE TO DIE FOR! Yummy!!!!
I'm from St. Mary's county Maryland where we know a little about seafood. The wife and I stumbled across snack Jack after several very disappointing dining experiences along the coast starting from Datona and driving north. I had shrimp, salmon and scallops during 3 visits and all 3 meals were comparable to any meals we have had anywhere. If visiting the area you can not get a better seafood in the area. Great atmosphere , friendly staff and patrons. A great lace to meet locals. 5 Stars from me.

Stopped by one of our regular beach dives. Noticed new menu.... New prices. Great blackened shrimp tacos but not worth $14.95 price tag for two. Shout out to Sam, our super waitress!!
This is always our first stop when we hit the A1A after a 10 hour drive from Virginia. We are greeted warmly by the staff, enjoy a cold bucket, yummy appetizers and outstanding meals. I highly suggest the Blackened Tuna Club Sandwich. Perfectly seasoned, accurately cooked and large sushi grade portion!
Busy or not, there was always a friendly face to greet us. We were here for a week and couldn't help but go back twice! From the spiced peel and eat shrimp to the hush puppies and crab legs...you can't go wrong with anything!!! Oh!! And you MUST have the ORGANIC strawberry daiquiri. That's all I can say about that! We will definitely be back the next time we visit!!
I brought a few friends here from out of town on Friday evening and I was hoping they would enjoy the food and atmosphere. Sadly 3 of them experienced some sort of food illness and were sick for the remainder of their trip after eating the 'red fish'. After talking with some other folks, it seems this is a common occurance after eating this fish at Hgh Tides. Major bummer, guess I know not to come back. Others beware, order something besides the fish of the day!
