I was at High Life once and a stomach issue caused me to not be able to stomach any kind of beer, regardless, staff was attentive and amazing, decor is absolutely one of a kind. This is the kind of bar I'd expect to run into Ron Swanson and Mike Ditka engaging in a debate about the best cut of steak, and in no way is that a bad thing. I plan on visiting here and El Bait every time I'm in DSM.
This is for the service only. When I had you my card to my for my bill, I expect to be charged for what's on the bill & for what I signed for. I tipped the waitress 22% of the bill, she felt the need to tip herself 33%. That doesn't fly w/me. I wouldn't go back to a restaurant that has servers deciding their own tip. If you get the tall older blonde skinny lady w/glasses, you better check your bank statement!
Gotta try the bacon wrapped tater tots!! Juiciest chicken you'll ever have!!
