BBQ is absolutely awesome...we make it part of our summer east coast visit from Michigan.

First night OBX tradition for many yrs... NC BBQ from High Cotton. Order a take-out dinner or can you open a location in Nags Head? :)
When going to a BBQ Resturant fir the first time I like to try at least three different meats. At High Cotton I sampled the pulled pork, brisket and chicken. The brisket was by far the best selection of all and it was good at best. The chicken was moist but probably because it was under cooked and still had red showing near the bone. The pork had little flavor unless you doused it with sauce. If you want eastern style BBQ there are several other establishments that are much better on the island.
