RecommendedI drive 500 miles to the OBX several times a year and the first place we eat at is High Cotton! The fried chicken is fantastic and the bbq is delicious. Will and his crew will welcome you with a smile and treat you the way you outta be treated. And don’t forget the chess pie for dessert....yum yum!👍👍
The fried chicken, okra and mac n cheese was probably one of the best I have ever had. The chicken was moist and crispy at the same time!!! And the wait staff was as sweet as could be. The owner,Will, was a sweetheart also!!!
The right be were the worst I've ever had. No amount you of sauce could help them. The southern fried chicken was moist and flavorful as was the brisket. Service was fast. But if your preference is ribs don't waste your time.

Great atmosphere. Barbecue is a 10 out of 10. They offer cheerwine...price is unbelievable for what you get. All around a great place.
