We came here when we were in OBX visiting family over the summer. I had already eaten so much seafood (my fav), that I was craving something different. We were not disappointed! It was fantastic. I got the brisket/smoked chicken combo with Brunswick Stew as one of the sides. The meat was delicious, but the Brunswick Stew was the best I’ve ever had. My brother and I both went crazy for it. Stopped in on a whim and was not disappointed. The BBQ was great but what got me was the chicken and dumplings. Out of this world and the cabbage and bacon omg so good. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Very polite. They let me and my husband taste some of the food we were interested in ordering. Do your self a favor and stop in you will Not be disappointed.

This place is what the outer banks traditions are all about! Great food, great staff and the owner always makes you feel welcomed! A must eat place on the banks! Too bad I live in Minnesota! Will be back !

Despite coming to OBX for many years this was a new adventure for us. Our server was wonderful and helpful. The food was very tasty with the exception of the slaw. That was very bland. None of us got hush puppies with our meal, although I thought it was supposed to. I had the 1/4 rib, brisket, pulled pork with fried okra and the slaw. Was pleased with the flavours. Great food, friendly staff! We eat here at least twice during our week in KDH. We'll be down 10/19 and this will be our first stop after unpacking! Everything we've had there is delicious & I especially love their chicken & dumplings!!
