Hidden Creek Management has been less than forthcoming during my lease application and agreement. They accepted my lease application on 1/15/2025 for a move in date of 2/17/2025. Once that was accepted, they came back a few days later and said the latest move date they could offer would be 2/06/2025. In addition, Hidden Creek Management failed to mention there would be an additional $200 administration move-in fee in addition to the $60 application. I am sorry that I didn't thoroughly research and read the reviews before I went with them. Many reviews state that they make up some reason to keep your deposit. I didn't think that would happen to me since I left the house in better condition than when I moved in. Well they not only kept my deposit but found a way to send me a bill for $200.00. We moved in in June of this year, and since then we have yet to have safe drinking water. It’s the last half of September and after months of trying to figure things out and get updates it’s repeatedly gotten pushed under the rug. Our water is orange. I left an ice tray in the sink, and the next morning there was rust settled in the bottom. Three months and little to no updates is getting out of hand. Hidden Creek Management does not have your child's best interest at heart. They are strictly in it for the money. If you are sending your child off to App State first of all BEWARE...Its a liberal college where they teach Marxism. Secondly, if you are searching for an apartment its best to stay away from Hidden Creek they will take your money without a second thought. They do not work with you or for you. It's bad. Find a place on campus! Better yet, find a different college all together.
Hands down the worst rental company. There is ZERO customer service. Heather in particular should be shown the door for her complete lack of hospitality. They are thieves to say the least, money is the primary goal for this company. they not only took my entire security, but added on. I have never had an issue with getting my security deposit back. Hidden Creek is a terrible company. I have never had an issue with my security deposit being returned in complete. They not only took my deposit but charged me more. I know it is illegal what they did but I simply want to be done with them and move on, lawyer's fees are not worth it. If you need to rent in Watauga County, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will steal from you without regard. Don't even think to ask for assistance with maintenance if you do, non existent or full of excuses. Terrible management company hand's down.... read more

We sent two different letters which detailed how to avoid security deposit deductions. That list included cleaning all kitchen appliances, removing all trash and personal belongings from inside and outside of the unit, replacing broken blinds, missing bulbs etc. During our move out evaluation, we found that the termination duties had not been completed. The absolute most unprofessional company! My daughter drove 6 hours to look at a rental property for next school year. She gave them a check for $1,050 which they accepted. We had applied online the day prior. They sent her to look at properties not telling her that all of them required 4 wheel drive vehicles to access! She drive a Nissan Sentra! Hello Frankie, Your daughter and her potential roommate brought a cashiers check to hold a property for 3 business days while their applications were being completed. At the time the holding fee was provided to our office, the group of applications were not finished. Additionally, they were not required to drop this off in person and could have emailed a scanned copy of the check. The worst and most unorganized company you will deal with. I did not want to write this review but I feel that I need to warn others before making the same mistake I did. Please read below. I signed a lease for 7/22 and did not move into a house managed by Hidden Creek until 8/5, giving them 2 extra weeks to prepare the house (since many of their excuses stem from being busy during turn around time).
