Owner Mike McIntosh is a pervert, if you’re a waitress and don’t want to have sexual relationships with him you are fired. Be ware of being promised positions and growing in the company then never getting what is promised to you. Worked there 11 years, I’ve seen all kinds of horrible things happen to employees who did a great job but were fired for no reason, more so because they weren’t interested in sexual relationships with the owner. I love Hickory Tavern. It can take a while to get your food but unless you are in a hurry it's fine. The atmosphere is great! It's a great place to watch the games with friends as well.
Busy night but the server accommodated is well. Corned beef and cabbage entree was delicious!
This is the place to be if you want everyone in Hickory to know your business. Don’t worry if they don’t know anything they will make it up as they go. There girls have even went as far as to sneak around the corner take pictures then try to cause a customers problems. The same customer who is a good tipper and they must depend on for a source of income. Their veggie burger is absolutely amazing!!
Thursday oysters, shrimps , spicy wings and Ruby Lager Beer.
Be careful how much you drink in this bar. The wait staff takes pictures then text's them to local police officers. If you plan to drink, drink somewhere else..
