The restaurant is operated by a 3rd generation Ellison and current pitmaster Jeff and has been serving the greatest BBQ in the Tri-State area since 1957. Our smokers use real hickory wood and our meats are cooked low & slow for that authentic barbecue flavor. Too busy to cook for my barbecue party so I called Jeff at Hickory Pit Stop on Friday and picked up some delicious pulled pork and chicken Saturday. They saved the day and the food was awesome. My pastor remarked that normally he doesn't go for the chicken, but thought it was the hit of the day. Special thanks to the great team at Hickory Pit Stop!
