Pretty good I have always had good experiences at Hickory Hollow. Yummy food, affordable prices, and there are some menu options that satisfy everyone. Nice atmosphere. Recommend it if you are close.
BBQ The food here is OK. On a couple different occasions the brisket has been really dry. The prices are usually high. I give the place an OK, I wouldn't drive across town for the food.
Hickory Hollow is pretty good. my family loves to eat at this place. The food is great. prices are reasonable.Although at times the brisket has been overcooked and simply too dry and the sauce has not been as good as other times. Overall the family loves it especially the kids. So not bad for that.
Great BBQ Wonderful baked stuff potatoes and fabulous chicken fried chicken can be found at this locally owned longstanding Houston restaurant. The fabulous BBQ is the main dish on the menu!! You gotta check it out!
best steak house in houston Last weekend I had a time to visit Houston, so me any my sister is craving for a steak until somebody recommended Hickory hollow. Wow as in I am facilitated on the sauce of the steak I love their services as well.
I've eaten here a couple of times. The first was about a year ago. I'd read online comments about how they'd changed their chicken fried steak gravy & it was largely unpopular. @ that time, however, I was on a quest for ribs. They were very good. Yesterday, I took my mom. I got a 2 meat platter--sausage & CFS. Mom's order included onion rings, which she loves. Happy I found this place! – I've finally found time to write a review for this place. I think this place has good chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken! I've tried the brisket and sausage and wasn't that impressed with it so I've been sticking to the chicken fried chicken breast. Also, the sweet tea always has just the right amount of sweetness! Another plus is that this place is easy on the wallet. I've brought family here from out of town and it tends to be a favorite!
